Cosmetic filling

Cosmetic filling

Cosmetic filling is the restoration of damaged dental tissues (worn, chipped, damaged by tooth decay). It requires the utmost diligence and professionalism. During cosmetic filling, we form natural-looking grooves and ridges on the surface of the tooth, smooth the dental arch and choose the right colour. This is how we restore the natural features, colour and shape of the tooth, as well as its function and masticatory force.

The procedure

We offer cosmetic filling for both front teeth and molars. Filling one tooth can take about an hour. This procedure is painless, but if necessary, we use analgesics.

It is important to note that in case of a more severe defect, when the filling is required to cover the entire surface of the tooth, we recommend choosing a more robust option – aesthetic restoration.

Cosmetic filling options

Cosmetic filling can be used to:
  • Eliminate gaps between teeth.
  • Restore dental tissues damaged by tooth decay.
  • Restore a chipped tooth.
  • Restore worn teeth.

Filling or prosthetic restoration?

Cosmetic filling vs. ceramic veneers (aesthetic restoration):

Advantages:
  • Lower price.
  • The procedure is done in a single dentist’s appointment.
Disadvantages:
  • Requires polishing every six months.
  • Lower durability and resistance to plaque.

What do I need to know?

  • Before any procedure, our specialists perform the necessary diagnostic tests and provide a treatment plan.
  • Before cosmetic filling, you should get a professional teeth cleaning.
  • Depending on the colour of your teeth, our specialists may suggest whitening treatment before doing the cosmetic filling.
  • It is important to emphasise that during the procedure, we do not damage healthy dental tissues and no filing is necessary. During cosmetic filling, we only remove damaged tissues and their old fillings.
  • This procedure is painless, but if necessary, we can use anaesthesia.
  • We use quality materials for the filling that do not harm the body or cause any other negative sensations.

You can flash a nice, aesthetically pleasing smile and enjoy normal food and drinks without restriction right after the first appointment. However, we do recommend avoiding food and drinks that stain for 24 hours after the procedure.
